The Committee:

A committee of parents manage the pre-school. The parents of the children attending Yaxley & Mellis Pre-School elect the members of the Committee at our Annual General Meeting, which is held in September.

The committee is responsible for:

Managing the pre-school's finances and arranging fund-raising events
Employing and managing the staff
Making sure that the pre-school has, and works to, policies that help it to provide a high quality service
Making sure that the pre-school works in partnership with the children's parents

The Annual General Meeting is open to the parents of all the children who attend the pre-school. It is a forum for looking back over the previous year's activities and shaping activities for the coming year.
The pre-school encourages parents to join the committee and help the pre-school in whichever way they can.

Post: Fundraising Co-ordinator.

The committee is currently looking to recruit a voluntary Fundraising Co-ordinator to work closely with the Committee and Pre-School.

The main duties will be to develop and help organise fundraising events to raise money for the pre-school.As the pre-school relies on charitable donations,

it is vital the role is filled in order to support and ensure the pre-schools future and help raise money towards equipment and resources.
